Adoption Process

At Cavoodle Heartmate Rescue, we believe every adoption is a lifelong promise. With over 19 years of experience in Cavoodle rescue Australia, we’ve developed a thoughtful, heart-led process to ensure every Cavoodle finds the perfect forever home.
Whether you’re a first-time adopter or a seasoned dog lover, our toy cavoodle rescue team is here to guide you every step of the way.
Step 2
Submit an Adoption Application
Complete our secure online form specific to each available Cavoodle. This helps us understand your lifestyle, preferences, and experience with dogs, allowing us to better assess your needs and suitability for a particular Cavoodle.
Step 3
Application & Review
Once your application has been submitted, please check your email inbox and junk folder for a response from our team. You will hear from us within 24 hours with further information about the Cavoodle you’ve expressed interest in.
Step 4
What Happens After You Respond
Once we’ve shared further information with you, our team will await your reply before continuing the review of your compatibility with the selected Cavoodle. Based on your response, there are three possible outcomes:
- Approval: You may be approved to adopt the Cavoodle you applied for.
- Alternative Match: If we believe another Cavoodle may be a better fit for your home and lifestyle, we’ll explain our reasoning and invite you to consider the alternative.
- Application Declined: If we determine that we’re unable to proceed, your application may be declined.
NB: To give yourself the best chance, we encourage you to provide a clear and thoughtful response that reflects your suitability and commitment.
Step 5
Notification of Progress & Next Steps
You will receive an email update regarding the progress of your adoption application.
If you are approved for the Cavoodle you applied for, we will provide clear instructions on how to proceed. This will include submitting your details for the adoption agreement and completing the necessary paperwork.
If our team believes another Cavoodle may be a more suitable match, we will inform you of this recommendation and continue to support you through the next steps of the application process.
Step 6
Adoption Agreement for Your Review
We are pleased to provide you with the Adoption Agreement, which outlines our organisation’s details and the responsibilities involved in adopting your Cavoodle. Once you have reviewed the terms and are comfortable with the conditions, we kindly ask that you sign and return the agreement.
Congratulations, your adoption application has been successful. We look forward to supporting you on this joyful journey.
Step 7
Adoption Fees
Every Cavoodle deserves a safe, loving home and your adoption fee helps make that possible. Adoption fees contribute directly to the care each dog receives before joining your family. This includes:
• Comprehensive veterinary health checks
• Adoption pack
• Desexing and microchipping
• Vaccinations and parasite prevention
• Safe, reliable transport to your doorstep
Adoption Fee Guide
• Puppies (under 12 months): $850 – $980
• Adults (1–3 years): $700 – $890
• Seniors (4+ years): $500 – $760
As a registered not-for-profit organisation, 100% of adoption fees are reinvested into our mission. Rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Cavoodles across Australia. Your support helps us continue this life-changing work.

Step 8
Pickup & Delivery
Once your adoption fee has been received, our team will finalise the required documentation with the appropriate local authorities. We will then provide you with a confirmed date and time for pickup.
If you have opted for delivery, we will proceed with transport arrangements upon completion of the adoption paperwork. You will receive full delivery details, including timing and handover instructions, to ensure a smooth and stress-free arrival.

At Cavoodle Heartmate Rescue, our commitment to you and your Cavoodle does not end at pickup or delivery. We believe in lifelong support and you are warmly welcome to reach out for guidance, resources, or assistance at any stage of your Cavoodle’s journey.
